The Gamber & Community Fire Company presented honors and awards to its members for 2016 after the regular company meeting on Monday, March 20, 2017. The Gerald L. Lindsay Memorial Firefighter of the Year Award was presented to Captain Chad Hastings. G. J. Bell was presented with the Herman Hoff Memorial Award for outstanding service in fund raising. Charlie Green was honored as the Administrative Member of the Year. Rookie of the Year went to Jason Niver and the Special Service Award went to Chris Wilson. Tim Brown was honored with the Outgoing Chief’s Award. The following members responded to the most fire suppression/water rescue calls for 2016: 1- Dylan Baker 220 calls
1- Dylan Baker 201 hours The following members had the most EMS training hours for 2016: 1- Jeremy Hutton 59 hours The following members had the most fundraising hours in 2016: 1- Jeannie Green 702 hours The following members earned pins for years of membership/service: 5 Years: Richard Durr, Lindsay Durr, Meghan Elasser, and Jay Prise 10 Years: Alisha Brauning, Holly Sherfey, Brad Nicholson, Christine Syfert, and George Syfert 15 Years: G. J.
