Gamber & Community Fire Co. will be hosting an Open House and Recruitment Day on Sunday, April 23, 2017. It will run from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at the fire station, 3838 Niner Road, Finksburg. Some of the activities and displays include the following:

NEW Inflatable Safety House, Child ID Kits, Games, Food, and More.

Public Safety Displays by the State Fire Marshal’s Office, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, the Carroll County Health Department, Carroll County Emergency Management, the Carroll County Humane Society, the Carroll County Bureau of Aging, Baltimore Environmental Police (watershed property on Liberty reservoir), and local fire equipment on display.

12:30pm – K9 Demo by Office of the State Fire Marshal

1:00pm – MSFA Jr Miss Fire Prevention Contest on Stage

1:30pm – K9 Demo by Carroll County Sheriff’s Office

2:00pm - Live Fire Demonstration (Live fire showing how sprinklers save lives)

2:30pm - Auto Extrication Demo
