Overturned Oil Tanker Truck

Gamber Fire Company units were alerted for an overturned oil tanker truck on Wednesday, March 21 at approximately 11:45 am. The call was dispatched as a vehicle collision with hazardous materials and it was initially dispatched on Deer Park Rd and Nora Drive in Finksburg. The crash was actually located on Deer Park Rd. further inside the Liberty Reservoir watershed near the county line.

Units from Baltimore County were also running on the call. Gamber Engine 134 arrived on the scene and Captain 13, Hastings, and Chief 13-1, Barnes, established command. Medic 139 staged near the crash scene. Baltimore County Medic 56 transported the driver of the truck to Carroll Hospital Center.

Maryland Dept. of the Environment responded and took control of the incident. Units were on the scene for several hours while the cargo was off-loaded onto another tanker truck. A tow truck was on the scene to get the truck up-righted and towed away.
