Brush 135 Sold Then Involved In Crash

A while back the fire company decided to sell our Brush/Water Supply Unit, Brush 135. We bought Brush 135 back in 1993 and over the years it has drafted for many fires. Since buying the unit many other companies had bought water supply pieces and most of our current water supplies we can reach with a larger pump on an engine.

With the help of Firetec, a fire apparatus online broker, we had found a new home for the truck in the small town of Trent, Texas. On Wednesday, June 20, the Brush unit left Gamber for its new home.

Later that evening we received an email from a Deputy Fire Chief at South Berkeley Volunteer Fire Company in Inwood, West Virginia. They had been dispatched to an accident involving our old brush. The only details we know is the truck and trailer hauling the brush had left the road and rolled over.

We were sad to see the brush go but we were hoping it served its next company well but from the pictures we aren't sure if it will ever see any more service.

We at Gamber were so happy it was going to someone that needed the truck and would put it to good use. We are very sad that it didn't work out.
