Gamber Investigates Object That Fell From The Sky

By Public Information Officer Clay Myers
July 2, 2018

Engine 134 and Medic 139 were alerted for an investigation at approximately 6:45 pm on Monday, July 2. The caller reported “something fell out of the sky” and landed in the vicinity of Stansfield Drive near Creekside Court off of London Bridge Road.

Upon arrival, crews saw a group of styrofoam packages on the ground tied together with strings. Apparently, this had come from a weather balloon but the balloon itself was not attached.

Fire crews turned the investigation over to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and returned to service.

Units: Engine 134 and Medic 139
