A single vehicle crash resulted in a working rescue in the 3500 block of Niner Road in Finksburg. Fire company units were alerted at 12:57 am on February 2, 2020 and Medic 139 and Engine 134 from Gamber & Community Fire Co. responded along with Rescue Squad 12 from Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department.

Units found a single car resting on the driver's side of the vehicle. It apparently had hit a boulder along the side of the road prior to the crash. Fire company units used rescue tools to remove the roof of the car to extricate the driver. The operation took approximately 15 minutes. Medic 139 transported the patient to Carroll Hospital Center and units returned to service afterwards.
