A serious head-on collision between a Jeep and a small car sent three patients to area hospitals. The call came in at 10:00 pm on Saturday, September 5 for a motor vehicle collision on Route 32 near Klee Mill Rd. in Westminster. A Jeep with two patients and a car with one had collided.
Engine 131 and Paramedic 139 responded and arrived on the scene. Command was established with a working rescue. Rescue Squad 9 was requested as were three additional ambulances. Crews extricated all three victims and transported two to the landing site at the Gamber station.
Two patients were airlifted to Shock Trauma and one was transported by ambulance to Carroll Hospital Center. While Gamber units were handling this call, a medical call came in for the 13-9 area. LS 13 responded to assist as the first responder to Baltimore County Medic 415.
Units on the collision returned to service by 11:00 pm.
