| The Gamber & Community Fire Company Dive Team held a training session on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Harlow pool at McDaniel College. Even though it was chilly outside, members enjoyed the warm water of the pool inside.
Team members who participated requalified on the basic skills required for diving, a 200 yard swim, treading water for 5 minutes, retrieving a 5 lb. weight from 10 feet and floating for 5 minutes.
Members practiced with the EXO 26 full face mask, Communication System & other tools. Afterwards, members worked on team building and cardio with a large exercise ball trying to keep it airborne, which is harder than it looks in water.
The Gamber & Community Fire Company Dive team would like to thank Kim Easterday and the staff at McDaniel College for their continued support and use of a great facility |
