BIRD VIEW ROAD TRAILER FIRE

On August 25, 2014 at 10:54 am units were dispatched to a trailer fire in the 2600 block of Bird View Road, Westminster.

At 11:02 am, first arriving units found an RV/motor home fully involved in fire with a close exposure of a 24 X 24 garage. Units on the scene worked to extinguish the fire and protect the garage. The fire was placed under control at 11:17 am. The RV motor home was a total loss. There was minimal smoke and heat damage to the garage and a nearby tractor.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office.

Units from the Gamber, Reese, Westminster, Sykesville and Winfield Fire Companies responded to the incident. A Winfield engine filled in at Gamber during the fire.
