CHARTER MEMBER PASSES

Gamber & Community Fire Co. charter member, William E. (Bill) Bollinger, Jr., age 67, passed away on October 21, 2014, at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born October 23, 1946 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Eva Janett Barnes and William Bollinger, Sr.

He was self employed. He served in the United States Marine Corps as a Sergeant and served two tours in Vietnam; earning a Bronze Star. He was a charter member of Gamber and Community Fire Co., member of the American Legion, VFW, Littlestown Eagles, Redman Club, and chairman of the Breakfast Club. He enjoyed fishing and boating.

He is survived by children Maria A. Kaas Jaramillo, William J. Kaas, Jr., Ronald W. Bollinger, Richard A. Bollinger, Sr., and Janet L. Bollinger; a brother Dale Bollinger and sister Cheryl Fenton Bollinger. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter Donna M. Kaas Gurlacz and son Steven A. Bollinger, Sr.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Gamber and Community Fire Co. will hold a memorial service at 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Charles Barnhart officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Providence Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gamber and Community Fire Co., 3838 Niner Rd., Finksburg, MD 21048.
