Gamber Member Graduates from EST Program

Dylan C. Baker, a young member of the Gamber & Community Fire Co., recently graduated from the Emergency Services Technology Program at a ceremony held on May 27, 2015 at the Westminster Fire Station. The EST program is jointly sponsored by the Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Associate (CCVESA) and Carroll County Public Schools.

Dylan passed all courses in the program including the following: Protective Envelope and Foam (PEAF); Haz-Mat Operations; Firefighter I; Firefighter II; Truck Company Operations; Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B); Site Operations; and Vehicle Machinery Rescue.

Gamber & Community Fire Co. Chief Tim Brown and Member Chris Wilson attended the ceremony to support Dylan.

Additionally, Dylan was honored with the Rookie of the Year Award for 2014 at Gamber’s Awards Ceremony in March 2015. Dylan came up through the Junior Firefighter program at Gamber. He was jointly honored with the Garrett M. Lindsay Junior Firefighter of the Year Award for 2012. He will graduate from Westminster High School in June 2015.

The officers and members of the fire company congratulate Dylan on his accomplishments.
