MVC WITH ENTRAPMENT

By 1430 hours on Sunday members had cleaned up from the 3 alarm fire and Paramedic 139 was on a call for an injured person. At 1441 Engine 131, Rescue 9, Medic 99 and L.S. 13 were enroute to a reported MVC with entrapment and a vehicle on fire. Companies arrived to confirm there was a 2 car collision with one patient trapped and began stabilizing the vehicle and extrication. Engine 131 with the assistance of Rescue 9 had the patient removed in nearly 10 minutes. Medic 39 handled a second patient though both patients were flown to Shock Trauma for their injuries.
