Ambulance Stolen At Hospital; Sheriffs Stop it in Gamber

A Baltimore County Fire Department career ambulance, Medic 56 from the Franklin Station in Reisterstown, was stolen earlier on Thursday at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster. At approximately 12:30 pm, Carroll County Sheriffs deputies rammed the ambulance and stopped it in front of the Gamber station on Route 32 in Finksburg.

Reports stated that the ambulance was not damaged but a police vehicle was disabled. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Police are investigating the incident.

The person responsible was taken into custody. Personnel from the Baltimore County Fire Department retrieved the unit from in front of the Gamber station.
