On Tuesday January 30, 2024, at approximately 9:17 am, crews were alerted for a vehicle accident with rescue. The shift commander for the Department of Fire and EMS arrived first and advised he had one vehicle off the road with the driver trapped.

Gamber & Community Fire Co. Engine 134 arrived and start to stabilize the vehicle. Rescue Squad 9 and Rescue Squad 12 arrived and assisted with stabilizing the jeep. Then crews went to work to remove the driver.

The tree the Jeep hit had to be cut away first. Crews used cutting and spreading tools to remove the doors and to push the dash to make better access to the patient. The patient was removed from the vehicle in about 20 minutes and transported to the hospital for treatment.
