Gamber Members Participate in Equine Rescue Training

Gamber & Community Fire Co. members participated in an Equine Emergency Training activity on June 8, 2025. The training was hosted by the Manchester Volunteer Fire Company and by Equine Rescue Ambulance.

Volunteer and DFEMS personnel from Manchester participated along with staff from Hampstead, York County, PA Station 47 (Jefferson) and Baltimore County Station 44 (Hereford.)

Training included use of a life-size horse mannequin and rescue equipment. Topics covered included horse behavior, assisting a down horse, lifting, and equipment and capabilities of the Equine Rescue Ambulance team.

Gamber's participation was coordinated by EMS Lt. Jack Bez.
