Gamber Assists Westminster on Working Fire

Two units from Gamber and Community Fire Co. assisted Westminster Volunteer Fire Department with a working dwelling fire on Thursday, October 16, 2025. The original call was dispatched for a bedroom fire in the 1700 block of The Strand which is located off of Stone Chapel Road adjacent to Route 27.

Westminster units arrived on the scene and declared a working fire. Command was established and a Rapid Intervention Dispatch (RID) was initiated.

Gamber responded with Engine 131 and Engine/Tanker 133. Chief 13, Chad Hastings, was the officer on the Engine/Tanker which assisted with water supply. The crew on Engine 131 assisted with interior fire attack and overhaul. Gamber units and apparatus and officers from surrounding departments were on the scene for several hours.

Deputies from the Office of the State Fire Marshal are investigating.
