Westminster Volunteer Fire Department and neighboring companies were alerted for a house fire on Friday afternoon at approximately 2:20 pm. The call was located on Ruby Drive in a development located off of Uniontown Road. First arriving officers confirmed a working basement fire.

Gamber responded with Engine 131 and its crew assisted with extinguishment and overhaul. Gamber's Chief 13-2, Yingling, was assigned as safety officer. BGE was requested due to heavy damage to the circuit breaker panel in the basement. Dcon 30 was added to the assignment for rehab and cooling due to the high temperatures effecting firefighters on the scene.

Deputies from the Office of the State Fire Marshal were called to the scene to conduct an investigation.
