| Gamber officers, firefighters, and EMS providers participated in a two-hour training on Saturday, June 13. The topic was "Electric Vehicles (EV): Fires, Safety, and Response Considerations." The session was planned and presented by Gamber Lt. Mike Reardon. Participants viewed a power point presentation covering many facets of handling incidents involving electric vehicles. Following the presentation, participants then moved to the apparatus bay where two electric vehicles were displayed. A Tesla Model Y four door sedan and a Ford F150 Lightning. The vehicles belong to Kate and Brian Wadsley from Sykesville. CCDFEMS staff on duty at Gamber as well as volunteer members took part in the worthwhile training. A special thank you to the Wadsleys for allowing us to examine your car and truck! "Are you interested in learning more about our volunteer mission to serve the community and becoming a member?
