Gamber Scholarship Winners Announced |

| Members of the Gamber & Community Fire Co. and the Oscar Brothers Family are pleased to announce that Allison Gill, Kiley Kelly, Amara Mohr, and Jacob Reardon have been named the winners of the 2026 Oscar Brothers Memorial Scholarship. Three winners graduated from Westminster High School in June 2026, and one winner is a home school graduate. They all reside in Gamber’s response area. This scholarship is jointly sponsored by the Oscar Brothers family and the Gamber & Community Fire Company, and it awards a combined total to each student of up to $20,000.00 over four years plus $750.00 per semester for honors. This is the nineteenth year of the scholarship program that is funded by the Brothers Family and managed by the fire company. As part of the scholarship requirements, each winner is required to complete 40 hours of community service annually and maintain a 2.5 or better GPA in college. The students must reside in Gamber & Community Fire Co.'s first due response area. Allison is the daughter of Kristin and Thomas Gill of Westminster. She will be attending Stockton University in Galloway, NJ. Kiley is the daughter of Colleen and Chris Kelly of Finksburg. She will be attending West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. Her parents are both active members of the fire company. Amara is the daughter of Renee and Joshua Mohr of Westminster. She will be attending Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Jacob is the son of Anne and Michael Reardon of Sykesville. He plans on attending Carroll Community College for two years and then transferring to the University of Maryland. Jacob and both parents are active members of the fire company. Jacob is a certified firefighter and EMT at Gamber. Fire Company Scholarship The fire company is also pleased to announce one additional scholarship award. This scholarship is funded directly by the fire company and is intended for members of the department or relatives of members. Madelyn Royer is awarded a two-year scholarship. She is a 2026 graduate of Westminster High School and will be attending Carroll Community College. Her career goal is to become a forensic pathologist. Both Madelyn and her mother are members of the fire company and they reside in Westminster. These five students all had outstanding academic achievements in high school, competitive test scores, extensive extra-curricular activities, community service, and they all contributed excellent applications and well-thought-out written essays. The fire company congratulates Allison, Kiley, Amara, Jacob and Madelyn as this year's Gamber & Community Fire Co. scholarship winners.
