Members of the Gamber & Community Fire Co. Dive Team held a training session Thursday May 20th at the Liberty Reservoir. Current members worked on their re-certification night and deep dives while new members became acclimated with the drysuit and EXO facemask.
Boat operators were busy shuttling divers back and forth to the boat ramp and operating at the dive site under the Liberty Road Bridge. Land Support members assisted divers on land and on the boats getting dressed and undressed, logging air pressures, start / stop times for dives and getting anything else the divers might need.
Members from the Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department also attended for a short time to get an idea of what we do and what they can do for us.
All members who attended had an enjoyable evening and learned alot.
Our next training session is Saturday, June 19th.
