A new rescue boat was recently placed in service by the fire company. Boat 13-1 is a 2010 Zodiac MK2 Futura. It is 12'2" in length and is equipped with a new 2011 Honda 30 HP outboard motor with electric start and power trim and tilt. The new boat replaces an older Zodiac that was retired and will be sold.
Boat 13-1 will be used in all local and regional waterways such a Liberty Reservoir, Piney Run Lake, etc. for open water rescues, diving, and swift water rescues. The members of the fire company have been training with the new boat since late July.
