Gamber Members Attend Maritime Training

On Saturday, May 24, 2025 several member of the Gamber and Community Fire Company attended a training seminar hosted by the Bowleys Quarters Volunteer Fire Department (Baltimore County.) The seminar took place at the Strawberry Point Marina located at Martin State Airport. Members from six other jurisdictions participated. This was the first training of its kind in the region and was very well attended.

Annual hose and ladder testing and inspection was conducted on Wednesday, May 21 at the Gamber station. All fire hoses and ground ladders were tested by Industrial Inspection & Analysis, Inc.® (IIA)

Saturday Extrication Drill and Training

Firefighters, EMS providers, and officers from Gamber & Community Fire Co. and Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department participated in an extrication drill on Saturday, May 10, 2025 on the carnival grounds. Multiple scenarios were set up for the participants. Sykesville's Tower 12 was on the scene and its crew assisted with the training. Tower 12 provided many of the tools used during the activities.

First "Touch-A-Truck" Event a Big Success!

Gamber & Community Fire Company's first "Touch-A-Truck" Event was a big success. It was held on Thursday, May 8 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the station.

Gamber Assists Westminster on House Fire

Multiple Carroll County fire companies were alerted for a house fire at approximately 1:07 pm on Wednesday, March 26. The dwelling was located in the 2500 block of Old Washington Road in Westminster. Units arrived and declared a working fire and requested a rapid intervention dispatch to bring additional units.
