By Public Information Officer Clayton Myers
December 24, 2006

Gamber & Community Fire Co. was alerted to assist on a two-alarm house fire in Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department's first due area on Sunday, December 24, 2006, at approximately 12:00 noon. The house, located on Sellers Drive off of Gaither Road in the 12-3 box area, was fully involved upon arrival of Sykesville units. A second alarm was struck right away and a tanker task force was requested to provide additional water.

Gamber responded with Engine 134, Engine Tanker 133, Engine 131, and Duty 13. Gamber units staged on Gaither Road and Lieutenant 13-1 was assigned as staging officer. Later into the incident, Engine Tanker 133 was released and returned to quarters. Engines 134 and 131 moved up to the scene and sent crews to assist at the house. Engine 131 and Duty 13 were then released and Engine 134 remained on the scene and Lieutenant 13-1 was reassigned as safety officer.

Baltimore County Engine 412 filled in at Gamber until Engine Tanker 133 returned to service.
