| Members of the South Carroll Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9952 visited the Gamber & Community Fire Company Board of Directors meeting on Monday, June 13, 2005, to make a donation to the fire company.
VFW Post Commander Francis McQuay Sr. presented a check for $350.00 to fire company President Calvin Brothers. The donation was for the fire company's service to the community.
Commander McQuay reported that Post 9952 was closing and all remaining funds were being distributed to local non-profit organizations.
Assisting Commander McQuay with the contribution were VFW members Merrill Sumey, Quartermaster; Thomas Collier, Adjutant; Larkin Livesay, Trustee; and Andrew Hirsch, Service Officer. All participating members are veterans of the Korean Conflict.
