| Angel Nicholson, the first recipient of the Oscar Brothers Memorial Scholarship Fund Award graduated from Carroll Community College in December 2012 with an AA degree and passed her boards to become a Registered Nurse.
Angel was hired in January by Howard County General Hospital as a full time medical/surgical float nurse working the night shift.
She won the first scholarship that was awarded in the 2008-2009 academic year. She graduated from Westminster High School and is a resident of Finksburg. She is the daughter of Sandy Nicholson and Dan Nicholson.
The scholarship is jointly sponsored by the Brothers family and the Gamber & Community Fire Company.
