| On April 19th, members of the Gamber Fire Company participated in an Auto Extrication training held at the station. This training was designed to simulate motor vehicle collisions (MVC) and the proper ways to remove victims safely from a damaged vehicle.
Chief 13-2, Duane Ludwig, ran the training. Within the training firefighters were allowed to cut two cars apart and practice safe ways of doing so. One car was simulated in its normal position and another flipped on its roof.
The training was a success because it gave members time to practice their skills and get a little bit of "tool time." It's not only good for us that we have these trainings, but also the community that we serve. We would also like to thank those who donated the vehicles to us and to all the members who participated. |
