The Gamber & Community Fire Co. fire prevention committee presented awards to young students who designed and created Fire Prevention Week posters.

The awards ceremony took place at the fire company general meeting on Monday, October 20, 2025. The winners, who are all students at Mechanicsville Elementary School, attended the ceremony with their families.

Student winners were: Asher Berte, kindergarten, Jacob Steinhardt, 2nd grade, Henry Hirsch, 2nd grade, Ryleigh Jarosinski, 3rd grade, Brody Boston, 4th grade, Elizabeth Shelton, 4th grade, Dylan Patrick, 4th grade, and Alex Steinhardt, 5th grade.
