Local firefighters were alerted for a woods fire on Oak Tree Road in Winfield's district at 2:38 pm on Sunday, April 12. Gamber & Community Fire Co. responded with Brush 136 and Engine 131. Firefighters assisted Winfield units in extinguishing the fire. All units returned to service after approximately one hour.
