Local fire companies were alerted for a house fire on Friday evening, September 11, at approximately 10:00 pm. The call was upgraded to a possible rescue within minutes. The house in Gamber & Community Fire Co. first due area was located on Cherry Tree Lane between London Bridge Road and Pouder Road.
Units arrived on the scene and declared a working fire on the exterior deck. Fortunately, all residents were safely evacuated and there were no injuries. There was also no extension into the house.
A special request was made for Haz Mat 30 due to the presence of laptop batteries. Deputy State Fire Marshals were requested to investigate.
